As a teacher, I go back on August 21, the students start on the 24th. I thought that was bad, but my mother-in-law who teaches in Hawaii had to go back on July 25.

I do - I'm the teacher and I report back on August 7, but I've been taking professional development classes during the entire summer, too.

Our middle school starts August 1. Of course, I've been working at the school all summer, but that's beside the point.

i do on august 7, students on august 16.
supposedly, tx will not go back until at least like the last monday in august next year. i wouldn't hold my breath!

I'm a teacher. I start back next Monday. The students come back Aug. 7. My son starts back the 22.

Teachers go back July 31st in Orange Co. Florida and students on August 7th. I thought that was bad. But I found out today that students in Seminole Co. Florida go back on July 31st. Their teachers went back July 24th.
But we all get out mid May.......guess it evens out.
