Here's what I do:
read a good book
work jigsaw puzzles
watch television

Assuming it's not 97 degrees inside your house, you could get out a cookbook and make some cookies or candy
(not all of them have to be baked)
A 14 year old can make these and boy are they good:
make sure you have all the ingredients before you start.

BOILED COOKIES
(before you start, have some waxed paper, parchment paper, or buttered foil ready to put these on. Just lay it out on the countertop.)

Mix in a medium size pan:
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup milk (canned milk is the best, if you have it)

Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes. You need to stir this.

After 2 minutes, remove from the heat and add:
3/4 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups oatmeal (not the instant stuff)

Stir real well. Drop by spoonfuls onto the paper or foil you have ready. If they harden before you get them all out of the pan, just put the pan back on the stove for a few minutes, and stir.

If you like chocolate and peanutbutter, you're gonna love these!

Cool your mind, lol. Think of winter, of Christmas, of snowflakes drifting from the sky...hey I know..you could make some nice christmas presents. A bracelet for your mum, a picture frame for a friend, whatever. Glue, shiney odds and ends, some copper wire....get crafty! Step away from the computer now and let your imagination take over! Be creative! Be productive! ;o)
