As for a raise, if they say no, then go find another job. You should definitely be getting paid more than that!

Hi J W Wales
Sorry to hear what you make!
You can make allot more money then that part time with a YOB
Your own business
I have done very well with a nutrition company in the wellness industry for over 15 years. I have been in network marketing for 16 years...successful for 15 years with a health and wellness company... and will continue to get my residuals from that company.
I have found it is much easier to build a business with a program that I don't have to convince someone that they need to buy my product!
May I also suggest, add a couple of streams of income.
If you look at any of the truly wealthy professionals, they all have multiple streams of income! I have over 10!
I'm going to show you two that I think are the best and anyone can do it!
If done correctly, you can have multiple streams of income at the same time!
There are multiple reasons why I do more then one program; multiple steams of income is just one reason. Another example, if you were promoting your product company and your lead doesn't want to be involved with a product company, what would you do when they said no? If you only have one program, that lead would be wasted, but if you can give your lead choices, that's where you will make the big bucks.
The first business to check out is: YTB, "Your Travel Business," on my three sites #1. www.wantagreatlife.com then, www.howifiredmyboss.com and last www.billydtravel.com
The second business is GDI "Global Domains International." My site is www.wantagreatlife.ws
The reason I'm showing you "YTB" first... is because I believe it is the best opportunity that I have seen!
The reason I show you GDI is.. it is something anyone can afford!
Thank you,
Bill

while looking for a better job you can work from home after your working hours or during public holiday, go for the internet business which requires less of your time and the one that will not make you feel headache with web designing, or which require IT knowledge. Second, choose the internet based company which offer you the opportunity and at the same time giving you the convenience to start the business. Third, choose the business, which does not require big money to start it.
All the above is only available from: http://www.website.ws/cybalgua
Honestly, I tried so many opportunities offered through the internet and this is the only one that really works. Another one advantage of being in the internet business is you can get rid from the Income Tax.
PLEASE NOTE: You only will understand the whole marketing concept if you read every details & the trial period is FREE!

What I did was just quit one day with out telling my boss and never showed up again. I dont know what options you have

First, write up a point sheet of all the major tasks you accomplish on a daily basis. Go on line and find a web site where you can do salary comparisons; find at least 2 -3 that are at a higher rate than you are currently. Set up a meeting with your boss, letting him/her know what the topic is. Have all your information available and explain that based on the work you do, the quality, quantity, timeliness, etc. you believe you have warranted a pay raise.
By the way, how long have worked there? Are there others in similar positions within the company who have similar complaints? Can you check with your HR people to see what the range of salary is for a position of your level of duties?
Get all the supporting information you need to show your supervisor why you deserve the raise. Good luck

What kind of skills and qualifications do you have?
Some skills are worth more than others, so figure out what career you would like to do and train to do that career. Then get a job in that career and then quit your current job.
Looking at the earlier answers then yes you also need to find out if you are being paid less than the minimum wage. I assumed you were in Wales so you are talking pounds not dollars. I don't know what the current mimimum wage is though.

Unfortunately you are getting paid minimum wage if your on a 35 hour week and your employers are not obliged to pay you anymore.
However you could always state a case for a pay rise.....your value to the company, the amount of work you do etc etc.
You should be having an annual appraisal and you should be getting cost of living increases.
Just ask/enquire with your boss or if you don't want to go to your boss go to the HR dept.
Good Luck

Wow! I don't blame you for being bummed. That's actually below minimum wage for 40 hours a week-are you aware of that? If you're working 40 hours/week for 52 weeks, that's a total of 2080 hours a year. $9500/2080 hours comes to $4.57/hour. The federal minimum wage is $5.15. First, you make want to ask your employer why you're not making at least minimum wage. Also, it might be a good time to ask what jobs there are at your current employer that offer a better wage.

First off that is less than minimum wage! Whom ever you work for needs to be told the facts of the modern world o reported to the wage and labor board of the state you live in.
Secondly, if they are paying you that poorly, it's not a company you should support by your efforts. I could not work for that little - you'd be better off on social services!
Get out. Treat yourself with the same amount of respect you give to others. Right now it sounds like you are being treated like a door mat.

Unless there are promotional prospects in this job of yours, unfortunately nothing apart from other part-time work (eg, barperson or waitressing) otherwise you'll have to look for another job.
Good luck
