Most report only in English so they cannot interview any Arab, nor can they report accurately on Israel. Many people from the area of Israel, Palestine, Lebanon speak these languages, and often French, too, because of the legacy of the French colonial presence there.

Um I guess you didn't know that most news bureaus have reporters that speak multiple languages. Of course they only 'report' in English because that's the standard here.

Good question! They should require all reporters to be at least semi-fluent (more or less) in those languages. Then it would be much easier for everyone. =P

Or, they could have each reporter speak English and another language of their choice. That way, there's one person for each job.
