I agree with Sir Franklin about these movies:
1) "Braveheart" by Mel Gibson. FREEEEEEDOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!! And the true love between William Wallace & Murron... it always makes me cry in the end...
2) "Independence Day" by Bill Pullman and Will Smith. The speech by President Thomas Whitmore is the best Presidential speech ever!! Too bad, he's not a real president anyway...
3) "The Postman" by Kevin Costner. Best quote that always makes me proud as American! When General Bethlehem-the leader of Holnist Clan who claims that the United States is no more and rising the Stars & Stripes is such a treason-terrorizes American people by yelling "... government?! WHICH GOVERNMENT!!?" it was answered decisively by a young brave American (Ford Lincon Mercury), "...the UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT!!!"

How about you all then? What's your recommendation? Why does that make you proud as a nation?

Def V for Vendetta and Independence Day *yes, it was an alien movie, but speech Bill Pullman gave just before the counterstrike against the aliens was awe-inspiring. Hell, I almost voted for the guy *lol*

Today, we celebrate our independence day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever see Red Dawn? Not exactly realistic, though many thought it could actually happen back then. Thats why its a classic cold war era film.

Good night and good luck. Shows there is a time and place to stand up to your government. You should never fear your government. Red Dawn rocked too. Loved it when I was a kid.
