Is that all you got? Try actually doing a little research- Oh- cussin' at the other view holders is supposed win them over?- or make you look uneducated and foolish. Why do most liberal view points come from big population areas and colleges? These people are much more connected to the real world, and know how to analyse data, and hypothethize information. Ok now, let the foul language fly...that proves how "right" you are!

It's actually a logic tactic called "damning the source." If you have no valid or logical arguments about what someone else is saying, you try to demean and discredit the source by name-calling and other methods.
Of course, it usually backfires, as you say, and makes the name-caller look bad. This is especially true when you realize that they said nothing about the CONTENT of the argument, just the supposed context.

I think people who were truly connected to the world would consider becoming centralists--to much of anything is never a good thing, whether it's too conservative or too liberal.
Oh, and I've seen the left side do their share of foul language. And the reason that more colleges are liberal is because too many young people have learned to tolerate everything.

Name calling is a classic Lefty ploy. They're the ones without facts, that's why they go into a hissy fit. Look at Michael Moore. A huge liar with a huge audience, and when you prove him wrong he has a hissy fit.
