It is like this, minimum wage goes up, so does everything else. Businesses need to pay for the up in wages somehow. This is like a puppy chasing it's own tail a never ending circle. Many jobs will be lost because some of the small businesses are just managing to keep their head above water. Read about economics.

The Republican Party considers a lot of things - it is a big tent. We don't all have to march in lock step with what Howard Dean or some other mental midget tells us... The Republican Party tolerates all sorts of diverse opinions, and welcomes open and wide ranging discussions of all issues.
Show us one example of anyone in democrat party who is tolerated for disagreeing with the central party? Look at Joe Lieberman and Zell Miller - they had differing opinions and all they get is shown the door. Democrats try to sell themselves as the party of tolerance and diversity - but they will never tolerate anyone whose opinion is diverse from the party leadership...

Increasing minimum wage makes no difference. It's like saying you get 5 more pieces of paper a day!! However, you must spent 5 more pieces of paper a day to live.

hmmm.. Nixon "cut and run" in Vietnam (republican) Eisenhower "cut and run" in Korea (republican) - that's ok, but I'm sick of being slammed for the Dems who want to get out of Iraq- even slowly to draw down on the damage- but if the republicans do it- that makes it ok?
