Spiders are very fragile little creatures, even the slightest pressure on their bodies can kill them. Typically you would be grabbing them from behind, so there is no danger, they will simply go "squish". The best way to do it is to fold the kleenex doubly at least and when you grab it, push first to kill it, then just wipe it away and discard the tissue. If the spider is really tiny, there is probably no danger because the smaller the spider, the harder it is for them to even pierce the skin of a person, especially when there is a tissue between them and the human hand.
As I mentioned, spiders are really fragile, another good way to kill them is to simply hit them with a shoe or rolled up piece of paper.
One of my coleages once killed a tarantula by dropping it no more than six inches off of the surface of the table, it wasn't high, but the animal never recovered, and they are much larger than any house spider.
You'll be fine!
I hope this answers your question!

Most small spiders do not have enough strength in their jaws to pierce human skin, Kleenex or no Kleenex.
Which then begs the question, why exactly are you killing it?
There are very, very, very few spiders that even have the capability of harming a human being, and even those that could are far more beneficial to mankind than any harm they do. Spiders are predators, eating insects and other household pests, and the vast majority couldn't harm a person even if they wanted to. They do nothing but good for you, and you reward them by squishing it because it 'looks icky'.
So it is physically perfectly safe to kill it, however spiritually, I would put spider killers right down there with those that drown kittens or put bunnies into the wood chipper. If you are willing to be that wantonly cruel and destructive, don't be surprised when karma comes and kicks you in the bum.

I agree with haysoos, dont kill spiders they wont hurt you, as if you are even afraid of them seriously....seems kind of ridiculous dont you think? I mean the average human is a giant compared to a spider and there are very few spiders that can kill you. I say get a cup and scoop up the spider and let it outside that way you wont have to worry about being bitten, and the spider will be happy and as haysoos said you wont have to worry about Karma if you let him outside, but if you kill them it will all come back to you someday. After all every life is just as important as the next, and just because spiders are small doesnt make it ok to murder them.

It is extremely dangerous to kill a small spider with Kleenex - don't do it!
Scoop it up in a glass and let it go outside. Then it will like you and never bite again.

My mom always uses a kleenex and it grosses me out! I'm always telling her the guts are going to seep through the kleenex and get all over her hands. That's just gross!
Anyways, I'm a little weird, perhaps, but I don't kill insects unless I have to. I catch them in a little thing I bought at the pet store called a "Bug Buddy" and take them outside. It's made so you just set it over the bug, then it has this bottom thing that slides underneath the bug, then you just set it down outside, and slide the bottom back in, and voila, the bug is free and out of your house.
My brother uses the bug buddy as well, only he then "sets them free" in the toilet and flushes them. So I suppose it's useful even if you are not trying to spare them. This little thing only cost about $5.00 I think.
The only thing with spiders you have to watch is that they sometimes make webs as you're trying to release them and so they hang on to your bug buddy. I just open it and leave it outside, then come back later, and they're gone.

Yes it is and no because their fangs are too small. don't try it on some spiders though such as the tarantula or the Sydney tunnel web spider. The adult Black Widow has fangs about an 50th of an inch long. use bug spray.
