You're account has not been deleted. Myspace has backup copies of everyone's accounts.
Look in the upper-right corner of the page and you'll see "Sign OUT". This means you are logged in or it wouldn't be there.
They are probably adding some new features or just cleaning out the hard drives.
Be patient they'll have it up and running in no time.

when you "login" and it tells you you've been deleted, click the MAIL link on the toolbar (Home, Browse, Search... Mail... Blog, Favorites) and you get this from The Tom:

because stupid myspace messes up like that. some friends will cancel their account with myspace and it will seem like they're still there, and since u never deleted them myspace says they are still there (but they really aren't)

it might be b/c people who were your friends have deleted their profiles, so it still counts them even though they're not there
or it could be b/c myspace has been having problems lately
but its nothing to worry about
