all i know is my female in november quit eating i had to spoon feed her liquid vegs and water to keep her hydrated. she got fatter and right before she had eggs like a couple weeks you can actually see the outline of the eggs in her fat belly , When you see her digging and acting weird put her in a container of moist sand which is warm so she can lay her eggs make sure its a quiet isolated place for her.And while shes having laying her eggs make sure she has privacy and a bowl of water for her. she gets real exhausted, and thirsty and don,t be surprise if she has 35 eggs.

If its a eco-friendly Iguana its said as Gravid no longer pregnant. They usualy substitute coloration or act diverse and in case you owned one for decades like I have you ever will recognize. yet listed the following are some signs and indicators: - a minimum of 10" SVL -decreased intake of foodstuff in the course of the breeding season -abdomen seems higher, possibly even at the same time as eating a lot less foodstuff -Acts a touch loopy, frantic movements or facial expressions-orseems moody or withdrawn -needs to dig,get out, bypass everywhere in the homestead-lower than pressure. wish This helps

Check the sites listed by OzzieKat -- good stuff there. One word of caution from me. My best friend lost his iguana because it was a female, alone, and it produced egss that impacted. Apparently they WILL make eggs, even if there is no male around, they are just sterile eggs. And they often will not release the eggs properly, thereby becoming impacted and dying. Please, if you think this may be the case with yours, get a vet to check them. I was told that is the best way to handle this situation. Good luck!

ummm, don't most reptiles lay eggs????
they may be burrowing to make a nest for their eggs.

i'd check out some iguana sites and books for more info, b/c you will need to know how to take care of the eggs too!

Well, if they are anything like humans, their breasts and feet will swell, they will experience rather extreme mood swings and there is a strong chance of morning sickness...

If your iggy's boobs are gettin' bigger and her attitude sucks, take her to the vet... ( Which is what you should be doing anyhow )

Peace!

you said BOTH are burrowing,,what's the temp in the tank? if iguanas are hot ..they will dig for cooler spots as their cousins do in the desert......

well you need sand so the iguana can dig its egg it has to be big though and their stomaches will get bigger and when its spines are up dont touch her/them they are angry or stressed out so yeah your iguanas are pregnant they cannot assexually reproduced so they needed to mate
