Why waste 5 pts to put a stupid question on here instead of just answering questions, getting 2 pts each for answering them, and only asking an INTELLIGENT question? A question with more than one answer that DESERVES the points awarded.

Because every person is different and if no one asked questions, even stupid ones, then we all would be out of questions to answer!
If you award someone a best answer, you get three points back. So in fact, you just lose two points if you do that.
But I agree, to some point. Get a point if your question gets deleted. Don't ask it again! Now that is stupid!
