I am required to wear the same dress pants five day a week eight hours a day.
My employeer states they should last me two years.
Is this realistic?

The question is not whether this is realistic or not, it is will you be compliant. It is good never to argue with your supervisor if you want to gain favor. (Please understand, you have a valid point.)

This is a way to handle the situation. (Because you don't even know if you'll be there for two years.) Wear the pants, and after a month, pose teh suggestion to your supervisor that you want to always portray a positive image. You may purchase a pair of pants that are the same style and wear them as well.

You never know whether the boss is trying to use this situation to weed out employees who will not submit to authority.

Never offer problems, bring a solution.

I wish you well.

Get a copy of the book "QBQ", and read it. THis should prove beneficial to you.

If you don't gain weight! My cotton dress paint seem to wear out at the bottom cuff after about a year (becomes frizzy unless you trim the lose strings). And they start to stretch in the crotch or the back side. I don't know about wool.

unsure if there's a internet site to communicate with. yet i'm able to proportion my theory with you. Fold the sleeves to the elbow. Fold it so as that the wrist section isn't hid. stitch a button corresponding to the colour of the shirt on the two edge of the sleeves. Button it to the sleeves which you have folded up. positioned on a belt around your waist. This works desirable with a black, cotton mens shirt. you may bypass with a thick white belt. replace the button into white or purple ones reckoning on the colour of the belt you opt for to positioned on.
