There are often "Free to Good Home" adds in Newspaper classifieds or other classifieds.
If you're asking because you want to save money, I'd recommend checking your local animal shelter. The rabbit most likely won't be free, but I know the ones here are only $15 and that's not very expensive to pay for a loving pet- you could be saving it's life too.
If you're asking for a free rabbit because you're cheap or don't think you can afford it, then I suggest not getting a rabbit at all. The startup cost (including cage, food, toys, bedding, etc.) will be quite expensive if you buy the right stuff, and then the upkeep will also run you a lot of money over time.

If you can't pay $15-25, you don't have the money to care for a pet, even though rabbits are inexpensive. They do not need vet checkups...they don't need shots and if they look healthy, they are healthy. They also don't "need" to be fixed, especially if you only have one and it lives outdoors, which some people will tell you is evil because they have forgotten it is a rabbit's natural habitat. The musts are just a secure cage in a draft-free location, a provision for their comfort in winter and summer, and regular pelleted feed and clean water.

if you get a free rabbit, keep in mind vet expenses. A regular check up is around $30 and then fixing the bun would cost more. I suggest just adopting one the spay and nuter is included in the cost.

There are so many unwanted rabbits that is isn't funny. Shelters have $2 adoption fees for buns, that is where I got mine. Contact your local shelters or a rabbit rescue.

this may sound utterly ridiculous but I once caught a wild rabbit..it's possible if you have the rabbit cornered and you're blocking it's only way out!
