she doesn't want to keep the baby but she doesn't want to tell the guy either, does he have the right to know even though it was supposed to be a one night thing?

If I were your cousin and I were in that situation, by all means I'd inform the father (if I were going to have the baby, not if I were to get an abortion). If she doesn't want an abortion, but doesn't want to keep the child, she should inform him in case HE wants the chance to raise his own child (if he's a good person overall). If she thinks said child might be in danger from the guy and she still doesn't want to have an abortion, then she needs not tell him anything.

It being a one night stand has nothing to do with it, a child has resulted in said one night stand and that changes EVERYTHING. Tell your cousin good luck.

First of all, your cousin obviously did something very stupid. One night stands are never a good thing. But now that its done, she should tell him. Its his child as much as hers and he has a right to know. She doesn't have the right to make that decision for him. One night stand or not, you made the baby together you should decide what to do about it together.

Highly irresponsible behavior. A one night stand with someone you met while chatting, unprotected sex at that, during your fertile cycle, and now an abortion.

How irresponsible can you get? What about STD and/or AIDS?
Some people have no sense at all.
And posting a question on yahoo answers waiting just to hear what she really wants to hear?

Don't bother with the guy, a one night stand earns both of them the right not to be parents.

Why the f*ck would someone have a one night stand with someone they barely knew, and NOT use protection? I think a baby is the least of her concerns. Tell her to go get an AIDS test.

Yes, he does have the right to know because he obviously got her pregnant. What she doesn't need to do is get an abortion. I had plans of getting an abortion until I heard about all the damages it could do to your body. For one, she should've never hooked up with him because he's a complete stranger and she should've never had unprotected sex with him. I had unprotected sex with my baby's father because we love each other not because you may think it feels better or you just don't have a rubber. Use your head! Don't she know that she can get all types of diseases from that. Well thinks for letting me give you some advice.

YES tell him just because she doesn't want it maybe he does and if not adoption is always a key. Because there are people out here that can't have babies. Think about that, if you couldn't have a baby and there your cousins, friends, sisters, etc. having kids wouldn't you want one too. NEVER choose adoption she would be killing something that never even had a chance.
But yes let him know!

Does your cousin always have 1 night flings, get pregnant, and then have abortions? Has she ever heard of birth control??? Or is this her form of birth control?

Most definitely he deserves to know they both made this baby together!!! But why would she kill an innocent baby? Why not see if this guy want to raise it or this baby can be adopted! Very irresponsible :(.

I would like to know, but, according to the law, it is her choice, not his. Several court cases where men have sued to stop a woman from having an abortion, have failed every time. If it isn't going to change her decision, why tell him?
