Yes I think that it should be legal. I smoke pot nearly everyday and I have never been accused of being high while at work. Unlike some of the guys there have been sent home for being drunk. I never got a ticket for DWS either (Driving While Stoned).

2) Legitimate medical use does seem to contradict its classfication in the CSA.
3) Sorry, no. Driving while intoxicated, no matter the substance, is WRONG. You are putting yourself and the other drivers on the road in unnecessary danger.
4) Yeah, taxes on cannabis sales would be pretty damn good for the government. They could go towards education and rehabilitation programs for people who can't control their own use of intoxicants.

It'd be useful in paper and fiber products, medicine, and fuel issues, as well as the recreational use.

Your first reason was wrong: any smoking, pot, cigarette, or anything you can think of to roll and smoke has the potential of causing lung and throat cancer. It also is prescribed for a very specific use: to reduce the side effects for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. I hope you don't come to my area and smoke pot while driving - we don't need anymore impaired drivers!
