I searched web for "congressional salaries" and this is what I got for the year 2006:
$165,200 for congress; 183,500 for leaders; 212,100 for speaker.

depends who you ask .IF i thought increasing the minimum wage would work then i would also believe that a role back in the top salries in america would reverse inflation .Lets try that for awhile instead a 30% reduction in all corporate pay across the board for all those making 150,000 a year or more and roll back inflation .
