My baby is 22lbs and currently wears the size 3 pampers cruisers which should fit till she is 28lbs, but they are tight around her chubby little legs and loose on the backside. If I move up to size 4, they will be more comfy around her legs, but won't they be really large in the back?

She is probably big enough to wear the smallest size of Pampers Easy Ups. They are awesome! They are super stretchy and should stay snug all around but still "give" enough to be comfy for her. Good luck!

Do you find they leak a lot? Are her pajamas wet when she wakes up in the morning? I've always found that's how I know to switch to the next size. Personally I would move to the size 4. My 9 month old weighs 24 pounds and he's wearing a size 5 diaper. Every baby's body is different, just because the size 3 says they fit up to 28 pounds doesn't mean they will. My baby's legs and tush are so chubby he'd be bursting out of a size 3 and there would be pee everywhere.

I have this same problem with my daughter. She seems to outgrow her diapers before she meets the weight limit for them and she also wears the pampers. I have tried different brands and they all seem to fit the same to me, and I end up back with the pampers because they seem to be such a better diaper. I am moving up to a size 4 for my daughter in her diapers and she is only 6 1/2 mo old. She has chunky legs and the diapers cut into her bottom. I have to pull the tabs around her waist further to make them fit , but it saves her bottom from being rubbed from the diaper. They are too big, but if you pull the tab far enough around the front of the diaper it will take the extra out of the backside.

I have the same problem with my son. He is very chunky, I also use pampers crusiers. I went through a lot of different brands trying to find the right one and I think pampers cruisers are the best because they stretch the best for better comfort for chubby babies. I just moved up a size with him and I just scoot the diaper up more in the front leaving enogh in the back and then just fold the front down so it doesn't look so bulky.

Move to the size 4. My son is 10 months old and he is about 22 lbs and he is wearing 4.
Alot of diapers say up to certain pounds but it all depends on the baby. If it is tight around her leg defintely switch to 4.

i use pampers and i tend to stay in them until hes about 2 pounds under what they say they can stay into them. well when i moved from 2's-3's i did start a little to early and for about a week we had a few leaks and i had wished i had waited. at some point your son will move up so if you want to buy a size 4 and try them for a day or two you can always save the daipers for when he gains more weight.

If she is that chubby you can always move up to Depends, sorry, just teasing.

I would go to the next size up, you may have to roll the front down a little so it isn't up under her armpits but she will be more comfortable with them not so tight around her tummy.

I've had a similar situation with my son, and the size 4's are bigger, but not too much. Yes, your baby will have a lot of extra room, but not so much that it'll cause them to leak or anything. I would definately recommend the size 4's. They'll make your baby more comfortable.

Try a different brand of diapers. They're all cut differently, and Huggies, for example, might fit her better. Stay away from Luvs though. While they're great diapers, they're cut just like Pampers.

Huggies tend to run bigger. But if you want to stay with pampers it is more than ok to move up to size 4. You just get less diapers for your money :(
