Only if you believe in luck. I've got several tattoos and some do touch. I've never even heard of this superstition.
Most cultures that practice tattooing do have multiple tattoos. Japanese traditional tattoos are usually added with an eye towards making them "fit" with others you may have.

No, I know a couple of people w/ "murals", so if it were bad luck, I doubt they would have them.
