I agree that opposing America bringing peace to anyplace is wrong.
I disagree that our invasion of Iraq was an attempt to bring peace. (the other things you talk about I agree with you on -- though not your solution.)
The invasion of Iraq was an action deliberately calculated to follow neocon doctrine and outlook. go to the Project for the New American Century -- look at the Statement of Principles -- and study the list of signatory members. Compare them to the 1st term Bush the younger White-house. Then read the PNAC publications that are available on-line, particularly "Rebuilding America's Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources for a New Century" and read the PNAC book "Present Dangers: Crisis and Opportunity in American Foreign and Defense Policy." by Kagan. You will find that nothing that has been done with Iraq was not laid out before Bush's first election by PNAC -- not one thing. I find their suggestions as to how a new Republican administration should find excuses to invade particularly disturbing.
Ask yourself why?
Regards,
Reynolds Jones
PS To Cesco -- I'm sure he means Jihad, nor Jarad.

What about the crimes the US govt has committed?
Supplying weapons to the irresponsible Israelis,
Lack of action against corporations that violate human rights in the Phillipines. Support for regimes that violate human rights.
And the second greatest war crime ever (after the Holocaust), the use of atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
And you pathetically enough are brainwashed to believe anything the government tells you. You believe that the 911 commission report is accurate? They coined the term terrorist and you blindly believe it.
I shouldn't even argue with you because it's clear you're intellectually inferior. What the hell is "Jarad"?

The USA isn't trying to help with peace in any of these places.
People high up in the USA's government are using words like "peace", "freedom", and "democracy" as a cover and excuse for what they're really doing. They're taking out Israel's enemies and taking control of oil reserves.
Remember, you can love your country even if you don't like the people running it (into the ground). Disliking or even hating what the government does, and speaking out about it, is the highest form of patriotism. It preserves both the truth and your country.

Probably because, for all our interference in other countries' affairs, they are still no closer to peace, and in fact get farther from it every day. What is the use of policing the world when it so obviously does not work? If it did work, then the attack on the Twin Towers never would have happened.

I am an American female and I don't trust my own government in matters like these. Somtimes I feel in the name of peace, the people who run this country make biased decisions to satisfy their own personal objectives. It doesn't mean I do not like America.
I wonder how Americans would feel if another country bullied us into solving our race wars - in the name of peace.

You are kidding, right?
Why do you think the Hezbollah exist? Where were these people or rather their parents living before they moved to Lebanon? Any idea?

Why do people like you only look at one side of the story and then when someone points out your ignorance you say things like "IF YOU DO NOT LIKE AMERICA, WHY DON'T YOU GO TO IRAN OR AFRICIA ??"
You sound like a buffoon.

It's the news around here, they don't tell you the civilians that are being killed or terrorist.
And if you do tell them that, they think you're lying about it.
We have a LOT of stupid people here.
