Don't drop a newborn baby in a pool 1 because it will put the baby in shock, and 2 the baby might drown. Get in the pool with the baby hold him/her close to your body so it can feel your warmth of you. Try getting a small raft and put a towel on it and lay the baby on the raft, and gently push the raft through the water. But never leave a baby unattened in wateror on a raft. Good luck and happy swimming

they are great swimmers until they are 3 months but you are not suppose to have a child in the water at a public pool. but it is not advied that you let your child swim under 3 months. PS right after birth a child can breathe underwater and it is an easier transition for the infant to go from water to water.

They'll probably float..but not for long. They'd probably drown too. Don't ever just stick a baby in water like that...

If you are thinking about having your baby in the water, then yes I heard they come out swimming but If you just had a baby I would try to take it swimming.
