First of all, great question.
I love the game because there are so many interesting things that happen in baseball on every play that you don't actually see on TV that decide the game.
Things like the manager setting the fielders in the right position to make a play. The pitcher & catcher working on setting up a batter. The batter setting up the pitcher. Knowing when to call for a steal, hit & run, or sacrifice bunt. The player's ability to read a situation and react immediately, such as hitting through the abandoned hole in the infield on a hit & run.
Also, baseball is not a scripted sport like football, basketball, or hockey where you have more control over the play ahead of you and/or are defending a goal. Once the ball is put in play, anything can happen.
BTW - If you don't like baseball, why did you respond to this?? are 2 points really worth looking like a fool?

I enjoy come from behind victories, 1-0 games good hitting good pitching, going to a game anticipating catching a foul ball, or seeing a runner picked off 2nd base, triple play or how about a game deciding play at the plate.
My son loves it just as much and I enjoy watching him play as a freshman on the Varsity team.

baseball. what is there to say about baseball? it is world renown and for a good reason. baseball is a sport with anybody with a functioning body and half a brain can play but where few can master. baseball is one of the most exciting sports where every game you are able to see at least one great play. the only sport where MOST of the time order is maintained. true players of baseball are role models.

great question man...i started playing baseball at 7 and i finished at age 21 in college due to too many arm injuries..and i miss it bad...i love everything about baseball and its history and bc of the many great players who have played it...hitting a baseball is the single hardest thing to do in any sport bc of the variations of speed and pitches...some of the greatest highlghts of my life have happened on a baseball field and there is nothing on this earth that feels better than hitting a game winning home run..but the greatest thing about baseball to me is when ur standing in that box waiting to hit and its just u against the pitcher and ur telling urself no matter what he throws im going to hit it! Baseball was life...second on my list of importance to my family and i wish it was still the biggest thing in my life!

the game of baseball is the most beautiful thing in the world. 2 teams of 9 players going out on the field...the sound of a crack of a bat as the batter drives a ball deep out of the ballpark and the crowd roaring...it's just magic...the most athletic people in the world playing the most important american pastime.

Growing up with 8 brothers and only 1 sister, baseball was a family thing.............I've been a fan and watching baseball since the age of 6...and it's been quite a few years since then!! It's the excitement of the first pitch, hearing that bat "crack" when it hits the baseball, the extra long innings and who will score first......
What a rush...............

No need for a watch. Like the history of the game itself, it transforms time.

Thats hard to answer. Its in your blood. Its the American pasttime. I guess thats the easiest answer.
But honestly, I like the strategy, the fact that it is a summer sport, among other things.
