They never got off during the original run of the series. There was a special called Rescue from Gilligan's Island where they were finally freed, but it was 11 years after the series ended.

They were rescued. They built a raft and all climbed aboard, just when the raft started to come undone due to a storm, they were plucked from the sea. The island that they were stranded on was later purchased by Mr. Howell and turned to a resort. A deserted island theme. Was a made for t.v. movie in the early 80's.

Well, after making the coconut radios, they figured out that they had the skill to fix the fricken hole in the boat. Then, they sailed away.
