why do the retired english or holiday home owners have so much disrespect for the spanish.?

i know i am not spanish but why do people, as the retired english who live here (as in spain i mean ) also people who own holiday homes who come only on holidays cause so much aggro for people who live here permanently and for the spanish people.

Because they are thick ignorant fools who don't try to embrace the culture. They want it to be like England with good weather. They are ruining the place

It's a function of those kind of people. I see it a lot in France as well. I wouldn't say it's all English people, but it does seem to be those who holiday home & retire abroad - they just have no respect for local custom/ tradition/ culture.
It's as if they want to stay in England, and have everything English, but want the sun of Spain.

Have you heard of the LRAU and LUV laws that - sanctioned by the municipalities - make it possible for developers to take away land from home owners without compensation? And then afterward for good measure they finish the job by strangling them with hyper-inflated costs "for infrastructure"?

Anything or anyone who is different to us causes us problems, instead of trying to understand we turn on them. I feel sorry for the Spanish look at Tenerife we are taking over there and the spanish people do not like it and who can blame them.
Its sad to see such wonderful places being destroyed by holiday homes etc etc

I am a foreigner living in england and find the english very disrespectful to any other nationality other than theirs. They have ruined spain and neighbouring islands due to narrow minded, uneducated drunken pigs causing endless hassle for the Spanish and french and Portuguese and Italians and everywhere they lay their hands on....

2 years ago i moved here (germany) from the uk, ive found that the german people here can actually be quite nice after a short period of rudeness towards me, i think every country has good and bad its not that us brits are rude or want to make spain ours i just think we are too used to having our backs up with every other coulture, i bet if u speak to people who have been there a while you will find some nice decent people, who have made an effort to learn the lingo etc . . .
