My mom, my sister, and i are going to the beach for 4 days. we are coming from east tennessee, which beach would be the closest and yet still a great beach. not for partying, but for relaxing, and maybe some shopping.

I am not sure about closest but not a lot of didderence I don't thin in the east coast and the gulf.... from Nashville I can be on the beach in Gulf Shores AL in 8 hrs......great outlet stores, great family fun, not a lot of bars and clubs.. I think I seen 1..
but really check out the gulf shores web site and foley outlet center..really hundred and hundreds of shops......also try www.vrbo.com for lodging. much cheaper than a hotel or rental company...you can view pics, availabilty and pricing and then call the owner.. this site is good all over the world....good luck

Are you looking for a beach on the ocean? or just a nice place to go swimming and enjoy a nice beach. In TN Rock Island State Park is a very nice park to visit and enjoy the water falls. Sincerely Rocky docrock84042002@yahoo.com
