Ok, here goes my situation. I am usually pretty normal, 28 day cycle. Had a regular period in June, usually lasts about 5 days. So far, all is fine. In July, it started but I noticed it was a lot shorter, about 2 days and somewhat lighter than the norm. After that time, I have been having nausea (not too great though), headaches (sometimes really bad), fatigue, lightheadedness, etc. So then yesterday, I noticed very little, just a drop or two of brownish discharge and then another drop today. Some say that they have this right before their perios, well my thing is this, I have never had this right before my period and my "norm" period shouldn't be until around the 10 or so of Aug.

Also, I am on a low dose borth control pill. I must say though I sometimes forget to take a dose so I do know the notion of pregnancy is there. If I were, it is okay. I am in a committed relationship so he/she would be welcomed.
What kind of discharge does this sound like and does it sound normal?

Sounds like you could be pregnant. I was on the low-dose birth control pill before, I missed a dose and I got pregnant right away (which was okay, I'm married). The bleeding or spotting that you are experiencing before your period could be implantation bleeding (which usually happens 6-10 days after conception), or it could be just some spotting due to a fluctuation in your hormones - which again could be a sign of pregnancy, because it is common to have some light bleeding around the time of your period when you're pregnant - it's just your body's way of trying to accomodate the changes brought on by pregnancy.

Since it is important to stop taking the Pill as soon as you are pregnant, and since it is still rather early to take a home pregnancy test (you might get a false negative), what you can do is to see your doctor and order a blood test. In the meantime, stop taking your pills for now. If you are not pregnant, you can easily go back to taking the pills by opening a new pack and starting on a new day.

Goodluck!!

The same thing happened to me and I wasn't pregnant. I was on the pills and had been regular. I felt all the same things, I was tired as can be, had nausea, very forgetful, and my breasts were so sore and had the brown spotting which is sometimes called implantation bleeding. I was absolutely convinced that I was preggos. But found out I wasn't. If your were supposed have your period Aug 10th, I would wait till then because most likely the test wouldn't come out positive until then anyways (and why waste the money.) Don't stress about it, I made myself crazy with planning and found out I wasn't pregnant. It was actually very depressing because I had set myself up to think I was and when I found out I wasn't, it was almost like losing the baby. I was in a funk for about a month afterwards.

You may very well be pregnant. You will want to take a test and if it is pos. you want to talk to your doctor right away, because you should get off the birth control pills if you still are on it.

You may also be just having a different period this time. They can varie but I agree, I never had anything like that either. So best wishes to you and congrats if you are pregnant. Keep me posted, at dews_wife2004@yahoo.com

i had similar symptoms as you before i found out i was pregnant. i was also on birth control and wasn't very good about taking it on time. i also had discharge around the time i should have had my period and it only lasted a day or two. i would get to see a doctor and have an exam if i were you! and stop taking that birth control until you find out for sure!!!!
