the fact you've even asked this question tells me that you know it shouldn't!!!
has your ex invited your respected spouses? if not, (and i doubt she has), then i would seriously question her motives. to meet her without your wife knowing would create a serious deciet in your marriage. this will lead to nowhere but heartache!
think of it another way. how would you feel if this was YOUR wife asking about whether to meet an ex of hers? even if was an innocent meeting, where they just had tea, and caught up on old gossip, would you believe her when it came to light?
ignore your ex. go home, tell your wife how much you love and appreciate her. if the ex continues then tell your wife what has happened so she can emotionally protect herself. an affair (this is what it would be), doesn't have to involve sex. it means that you are emotionally giving to someone else what your wife deserves (thats honesty).
i know this from experience. a LOT of people will get hurt. it's just not worth it!

No ... unless both partners are invited too! But why have you got reservations about "a step further"?? Do you expect her to jump you, f**k you, kill you, blackmail you or something? Or do you really want to f**k her again for "old times sake"?
If it's the latter, steer well clear for your marriage's sake!

For what purpose was the invitation?
Tea's okay. Crumpets are not. So hold the sweets, and honor your current marriage vows.

What the heck "step further" are you thinking about? Don't go. Smarten up and love your husband.

If you want to have the present partner as another "ex" Then by all means go .
Have you learnt nothing from the first relationship?
I think you do not deserve your present partner.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
