why do flies like poo so much?

In order to eat the fly disgorges acids onto the item which liquefy it so that it can suck it up. With many foods this is not a very efficient method. In the case of poo, the food has already been through an animals digestive system and been broken down and processed. There is still a lot of nutrient for the fly. This is much more easily broken down by the acid the fly produces thus giving it a quicker method of eating and transferring more nutrients.

Poo is the fly equivalent of McDonalds fast food. It's easy to eat, all tastes the same and has little to no nutritional value! The only difference is poo is missing the golden arches!

because it is a normal part of their diet, they like dead things and poo is similar. Poo is also a natural part of a dogs diet because when they kill an animal they eat the intestines and stomach etc also, which would include the contents. Dogs probabily prefer vegitarian poo but not sure.

they have better senses than we do and can actually smell the food in the poo! Its disgusting. Whats worse is that when a fly lands on something, it usually vomits. Gross.
