How would you react to your boyfriend/girlfriend if...?

If you showed up at the park one night to feed the ducks, and you saw your partner there with another person of the opposite sex.

I ask because I was there the other night with an old friend who came into town. She needed to talk to me so I said we could go to the park. My girlfriend showed up like 30mins later with her best friend, and was devastated since she hadn't ever met this person before. She tried to act as normal as she could and I tried not to make the situation awkward..

The next day my gf gives me an in-depth bitching about how suspicious it looked being in a "secluded area", and was pissed because when I started to leave and saw my gf, I turned around to say hi to her and the girl stayed in my car and didnt introduce herself.. (she was in the car crying about personal problems she had just talked to me about)

would not react, but would make it a point to clearly have you understand on how i feel and on how i feel i look in your eyes if i just said i understood and went on as if nothing in the relationship had changed as it actually had as soon as you took up with another relationship whether or not it has gone as far as physical, it still was an emotionally charged relationship. good luck.

When you are that close with another woman it is going to be hard for any girl to understand and not be suspicious. What you need to do is be completely open about having this friend from the beginning. Being caught unaware like that is almost cruel for your gf to stand. I can't imagine the heart ache she's been feeling over a completely imagined circumstance. You need to sit her down and tell her all about this friend you have and if your friend is as good a friend as you say than she needs to make it a point to meet your gf and tell her that you are and only ever will be her friend.

If you are in an exclusive relationship with your gf, then it would seem mighty suspicious for the gf to find you in a secluded park with another woman. Perhaps if you had called her first to let her know what was going on with your old friend and where you were going to be.

But now that the damage is done, you should explain completely and hope that she understands.

i'd be pissed too.If I were you, id give your girl alot of credit for not flashin on you in the park. You guys made it look suspicious. I understand that you friend has problems and was upset, but she also needs to understand how the situation looks and that you have a girlfriend, if she was really your friend or just a friend, she should of stepped up and at least introduced herself.. whats 2 seconds to stop crying

That sounds shady! Why would you go to the park with a woman to talk about her problems? Why not tell your girlfriend about this mystery woman? You should have told your lady about this woman and you should have chosen a better place to take her to "talk". Lastly, what was your girlfriend doing in the park at that time of night? If you keep it up, you may be the one in the car crying.

sounds like you guys have some trust issues to work on. but yea u should have at least called ur g/f and told her ur plans. it would have made things way less awkward. but as a gurl i would probably be all up in ur face too. as a guy if u flip the situation i think u'd do the same.

Talk to her let her know exactly what this person means to you she just need comfort or to converse her problem and she trusts you and you had to help. All girlfriends are jealous but if you explain it all to her i'm sure she'll come around.

why the park? you could have took her to a cafe or something. Your girlfriend is in her full rights to get mad at you! you should have called her before going and told her what was going on. I hope you have learned your lesson!

i would be very upset and jealous if i saw my boyfriend with a nother girl at a park. however, if he were to explain to me that it was an old friend that was having some problems and needed a person to talk to, i would try to understand. if your girlfriend is unwilling to forgive you then my opinion is that you really shouldnt date her any longer. if someone gets so upset over something so small its my opinion that they arent really worth it.

That sounds like a tough one to get out, but just tell her the truth. You know what you were doing. It does look like a pretty tough situation though.
