I am going to Orlando, Fl to meet a friend. Are there any motels that will rent to a 19 year old that are around Universal Studio?

Hubby and I stay in Orlando usually at least once a month and we love the Choice Hotels. There are several near the Universal area which is on International Drive around exit 75. Comfort Suites and Quality Inn are both great. Of course Quality Inn is going to be a little cheaper because the rooms are not suites. Here's the website. I can't recommend these hotels enough. To make a reservation, you simply have to have a credit card to hold the room, however, when you get to the hotel, you can pay in cash (we do this often) and they do not charge your card. I'm thinking being 19 wouldn't be a problem just as long as you have the money to pay for the room.

lol Yeah, I'm not sure how safe that is... just traveling to Orlando to meet a friend. I assume this is the first time you're meeting them, or else you'd just be staying with them. Do motels not rent to people over the age of 18? Because I stayed at the Disney Resort last year when I was 18 and they let me rent the room. And again this year now that I'm 19.

If you are over 18 & have a credit card then you should be able to rent at any. You & your friend should do a search for different motels in the area that are in your price range & then call & ask them.

Most, if not all, should. Under 18 would be the issue.
