I have a call in to the Dr., but I was wondering if anyone has taken phenergan and could tell me if relatively intense headache is a common side effect?

I should also add that I am 13 weeks pregnant and was not experiencing headache until going on the medicine about a week ago. I suppose it could simply be from the drowsiness?

Not for my wife, she's taken it off and on for several years for her Crohn's disease. It just put her to sleep but after a while her tolerance built up and she had to switch to others.
She called Phenergan her "silver bullet".
She suggested that you ask about Tigan or Zofran too.

I didn't get any headaches...headaches are a side effect of pregnancy so that could be the reasoning. You can also call th pharmacist and they can tell you whether or not it is a cause for concern or not. But the only side effect that I had was being sleepy.

If you were vomiting alot, then your headache could be due to dehydration. Pinch your arm, how long does it take for the skin to lie flat and smooth again. The longer it takes, the more dehydrated you are. Also, call your OB-GYN again. Trust me, he is called all the time and he doesn't mind it or he wouldn't be an OB-GYN anymore. (dehydration can cause pre-term labor) It could be anything, including a side effect.

I never had any symptoms with it. All i know is it was my cure because I couldnt even stand the smell of boiling water without throwing up-weird I know but its true. You could be having a reaction too it though. Call and ask the pharmacy where you got it filled at.

It can be. I know of several people that felt this way from it. You could be allergic to it. If the Dr. thinks you are allergic go ahead and get some liquid Benadryl. It will help.

I didnt have headaches but it didnt really work to well for me. It also made me very irritated. Everything got on my nerves when I took it. My family would joke that they didnt want to be around me when I took it.
