What are some of the excuses that a cheating person may come up with? Why do people cheat?

There are some great people in the world who don't and I know no one expects this to happen to them, but really anyone can do it. I'm sure they're alot of people who never thought thier other half would do it to them, but it happened anyway.

They cheat because they are bored or in love with someone else or they just like to be sneaky.
A sign could be weird phone calls or emails or not coming home or finding some other person in your bed.
Excuses could be that you don't do anything for them, they don't love you, they lost it, or they are stupid.

working late all of the time
not picking up cell phone
lying about whereabouts
having other people to cover for them
not showing up for appointments
perfume/lipstick on clothes that does not belong to you
phone ringing late at night-constantly hanging up
cancelling apts with you
more business trips than usual

i love this one i even used it myself its not you its me . i need some space. i want to go on vacationa and no you cant come. from personal experience usually if your partner is doing the accusing its because thier guilty themselves. why we cheat i think its because we are that selfish and some people need that attention to feel good about themselves
