Between 1978 and 2000, the Pro Israel PAC gave 1732 United States ’ Congressional Candidates $34,607,182. And in a related figure, since 1948 the US government has aided Israel in an amount between $82 billion and $94 billion. (Research on the Internet can substantiate these figures.) By now, most assuredly, that figure is much higher.
The former Queen Noor and present King Abdullah of Jordan, Mubarek of Egypt, and Mushariff of Pakistan, all intelligent and articulate Arabic moderates, have repeatedly warned the United States that it is the United States' blatant bias towards Israel in their conflicts with Palestine, and what has happened to the Palestinian territory and the Palestinian people, that are the main reasons for the Arabic-Islamic hatred and the main reason they liberally fund terrorism against the United States. Egyptian President Hosni Mubarek in April 2004 remarked that there is hatred against Americans like never before.

I agree that the Israeli bias in the US is central to the conflict in the mideast.

When you consider the massive aid given Israel versus the paltry aid (best estimates ate less than $2Bn in the last 10 years) given the Palestinians; the illegal settlements and occupation of Palestinian land; use of vetos in the Security Council whenever sanctions against Israel come up; and ovet support of Israel's military actions I am not in the least surprised at the anti-American hatred.

The issue in the US is the mind addled youth of this country can't think for themselves and believe the propaganda machine that touts Islam as a faith of hatred. I am a Christian and live next to a Muslim and Jewish families. We have open discussions about religion recognizing that all three have the same roots. So what is the cause of the conflict in the middle east - religious zealots, be they Christian, Muslim or Jewish. In each case the ignorance of the uneducated serves as the fuel that only benefits the industrial military complex. As long as there is money to be made on death and destruction, this government will support it.

Besides, what's wrong with sending our troops over there anyway. NASCAR will never miss those few fans.. 8)

Palestinians benefit from aid to Israel (which employs Palestinians), as well as direct aid provided to the Palestinians. This year, the US approved an increase in the aid-package to the Palestinians to $245 million,

Arabs have to pick a better scapegoat than the US to vent their anger.

Not only Palestine received this money but, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, on and on... Your argument seems to be rather fascetious and ill informed. Further, the Islamic hatred goes much further back than Israel and the US. It goes back to a time before there was a US. Any infidel is to be hated and killed.

Question for you, how much money has the US govt given to the Palestinians in the past 10 years?

Go find the answer to that one before you ask yours.
