I had a vasectomy about 3 years ago which may or may not be connected. I have had a ache in my right ball for 2 weeks and it is tender but there is not discernible lump or swelling. About 3 months after the snip I had the same ache and what I thought was a lump off the ball, but an ultrsound gave the all clear. I am making an appointment to see the doc but any advice out there. Is it possible that after the snip you can get a build up of sperm before it is absorbed back into your system? If the doc says all is normal, then what. Any others with similar experience?

Sounds like an infection of the cut Vas Deferens which can be cleared up with antibiotics. Its unlikely to have anything to do with sperm build up as the little guys would be absorbed by your body long before they could cause problems.

It seems to me that you are also concerned about testicular cancer. Although its the most common male cancer in men between 18-40, it has been determined medically that there is no link between having a vasectomy and getting testicular cancer. The most common symptom is a small painless lump or swelling in one or both of the testicles. No lump showed up on ultrasound which is great news, so i would say you have an infection of the vas deferens, which can be cleared by antibiotics.
