billions in oil profits billions in defense profits and all it takes is 150,000 soldiers in Iraq for target practice for terroists.WE are making no progress on the ground and if you believe we are look at the footage your self .STREETS litered with burned out cars and debris every where .THE only work is at secured bases where schools and government offices are being built and some home to house the new government and local authorities .WE are turning Iraq into a police state like america .THE DIFERANCE is there the new police have to be taught not to shoot first but after they take a step in your direction .
IRAQ was a huge welfare state supported by oil , people where kept in cramped quarters 10-20 people all living together sharing what little the government gave them .IN peace we can not fix americas homeless problem so how do we intend on replacing the 250,000 or more homes destroyed during our 5 year battle.we have created lots of jobs at halliburton and others . i wonder why.

Because we do not intend to fix Iraq. All we wanted to do was get our foot in the door. Look at were Iraq is on the map. It is right in the Middle of all the other countries over there. Iraq sits on the third largest oil reserve in the world. That has to mean something to our government. We are building 12 bases and the largest American Embassy bigger then the Vatican. We are establishing a Strong American presence in the Middle east so that we can assume control of the Oil. Why does that not make sense to Bush Supports do they know that Oil is worth more then Blood. Just look at what they call the mission in Iraq before it was the war in Iraq. (O peration) (I raqi) (L iberation) OIL. Its right in your face and nobody want to admit that we are total dependent on Oil. People act as though we are so much in control of the world that it would be inconceivable that we would try and gain control of the Oil. All you have to know about America is that we are no different then any other world power of history. They all try and take of the world eventually, and they all fail. To predict the future all you have to do it look into the past.

Not a dime of money has been made from oil in this war. The oil that Iraq eventually exports will be used to re-develope their country and pay back the billions we spent to set them free. Same goes for Iran, Syria, Venezuela. North Korea China will eventually reap the monetary benefit's.
I do sympathize with your point though. The stranglehold that the Democrats and Republicans have on power in Washington is irrefutable. The fruits of their labor will be realized years from now with oil distribution (the pipeline). We need viable 3rd and 4th parties to release the stranglehold the 2 party system has. More money and power distributed amongst the individual states as the Constitution dictates.

Stop buying products made with or by oil; fuel, plastics, food, clothing, lumber, glass, electronics, etc. Cure homelessness by inviting those in need to live with you. Get rid of the trash by picking it up yourself. Create a viable business and you will create jobs. All of this is within your power. Why must you rely on the gov't to do it? Or is it easier to complain about these problems than to correct them?

Someone has to make the weapons and systems of war. They do so at a profit in order to continue their businesses. Would you rather this conflict with terrorists be fought in the alley next to your building? The malls would be a great for them to bomb, but don't you really feel safer with the actual bloodshed taking place far away from your local McDonald's?
