I thought The Grudge was brilliant. Really bloody scary - I LOVE horrors/thrillers and any film that keeps you on the edge your seat. Have you seen Wolf Creek? Not a spooky film but my god, possibly one of the most disturbing, yet intensely gripping films I've ever seen.

Creeped me out! I suppose it is a personal thing whether someone is scared or not. If you liked this I would recommend The Ring Trilogy and The Eye if you haven't seen them yet, they really made me jump and hardly anything does any more!

EDIT: Lots of answerer's seem to think you watched the remake but I assumed you watched the original. Remakes of Japanese and Koren films never have any atmosphere (plus they are made on the assumption that we Westerners are all too stupid and racist to watch Asian films, grrr... they make me so angry!)

I watched in in sever dissapointment, there were a few scary scenes and sequences that truly made me squirm but other than that I found it to be a let down, however I am looking forward to the movie The Descent

You should see the original Japanese version.. actually there are 3 versions.. one the prequel, the original and the sequel... the storyline and the scariness that built up really makes the trip to the lift or your house toilet a big thing... Boooo

It was alright but I have to admit..... I am scared of elevators with the windows on the doors. I hate to look out of them and see people in the hallway, sometimes I nearly jump through the roof.

i watched the majority of that film with my hands over my eyes. it scared the living daylights out of me.

also didnt help that when i went to bed my boyfriend was crouched down beside the bed just staring at me, just like that little boy in the film.i screamed the place down.. needless to say he got a good kicking.....

Yes it was just you, by far the worst of what has been some good "asia" movies.

The Ring and Dark Water are much better
