There's an Orkin commercial where a kid is drumming and the mom says to the Orkin man that she was hoping the noise would drive the bugs out. The Orkin man replies that insects don't have ears..... which is true.

u see, i don't agree wit nobody's answer, apologies for which i take 2 dis pipl, but yes flies do have ears. recently scientists discovered at a species of female fly a kind o' mechanism wich detects sounds, and it may be compared wit an OWL! so, sorry pipl, but flies do have ears
