I read in a CNN article (abt a Dan Radcliffe play) that there are doubts whether he can continue to play Harry Potter until the end of the series. Any idea why?

Its because he is getting older than the Harry potter character, he looks way older then the part he plays. But if they did decide to change character people probably wouldn't like the movie. I hate change in things like that. Stick with the originals, they don't have that many more to do.

My guess is that they are being realistic about the age of Harry in the books compared to how daniel may look by the end of the series....let's assume that the films take two years to make, so by the time Harry 1 came to cinemas Daniel would have been 12, then 14 by the end of Harry 2, 16 by the end of Harry 3, and 18 by the end of Harry four, so even if this theory is out by a year each it would still make Dan 17 by the end of the most recent film, and his appearance my change so much that he won't look young enough by the time they get around to making the film of book 7.
Another reason could be is that they actually aren't intending to bring all 7 books to film which would explain this statement. But most likely it would probably have something to do with concerns over whether or not dan is going to look young enough to play the part of a 17 year old...which is Harry's age by the end of the series....

Mostly because the age between where Harry should be and where Dan is is slowly becoming larger. Soon he'll just look too old for the part. Almost all the other younger actors in Harry Potter are going through the same thing.

All the kids from Harry Potter are not going to be in the next movies because they are gitting to old for their parts. The movies go by the year of the school. Year one: The Scourers Stone. Year two: Chamber of Secrets..and so on.

properly, considering that we do not precisely recognize what Harry Potter appears like i will say Dan Radcliffe. yet i imagine Matthew Lewis is cutest, he performs Neville and as you could likely wager Neville is my well known personality, I have a blouse and it has a photo of him and it says My Hero on the bottom! it is stunning!

Probably because he is getting too old. It's only a year between books, but he is aging 2 or 3 years between each movie. They should have filmed them back to back.

Probably because he's aging faster than Harry is. I just think that they need to make the movies faster.

i'd say he is getting too old...but i HATE when characters are changed in the middle of a series...oh well
