If I already have a Verizon cell phone, can i use a different carrier?

if its not locked. you def. cant use it on cingular because they use sim cards. when you start a new plan with a new company you get discounts on the phones.

Only if -

A. the cell phone has been UNLOCKED from use only on Verizon networks.

B. the carrier you're planning on switching to uses the same cellular technology you're currently using. Examples being PCS, GSM, EV-DO/3G - etc.

So do your research before you attempt to make the switch.
