The only way to get them off the address bar is to clear your internet history in the tools tab. You can delete specific addresses from your history by clicking the history button (looks like a clock running backwards) It will bring up your history. You can right-click a particular page and delete it. The main address for that page will stay in the address bar, though.

Select Tools, select Internet Options, select Clear history.
Then set Retain pages to 0 or 1 day

from internet explorer go to Tools>Internet Options>Clear History.
Should be a similar process for other browsers.

You have to do them all.
Go to the TOOLS menu and pick INTERNET OPTIONS.
Click on the CLEAR HISTORY button.
