The high probability is YOU ARE NOT PREGNANT. If you are having a regular cycle, you are fertile (ovulating) on the mid period of the cycle (approximately the 11th-12th of the month in your case). If you had unprotected sex on at least 5 days before your ovulation and 24 hours after then you can be pregnant. But ovulation periods get disturbed sometimes that unprotected sex might result pregnancy.
In your case, you had sex on the 2nd of July and after 2 days you had spotting. It takes about 10 days for the embryo to establish in your endometrium (uterus) so we cannot say it is miscarriage. And your period came just on the proper time of your cycle. Absolutely you are not pregnant for the time being.

You can take the test now!! I had a light spotting/period when I was pregnant for the first month or two. You need to find out for sure. Are you feeling anything else different? Here's the thing...the spotting on July 4th could have been from the FERTILIZED egg implanting onto the uterus and causing some spotting. Then, it is possible to have a light period shortly afterwards until the pregnancy is farther along and more secure. This may not be the case, but it is definitely a possibility!! If you are not, PLEASE get birth control, or at least protection for the future. I would say not to have sex at all, but I know that is unlikely ...so just be more careful. Take it from me...it's not fun having a child when you are completely unprepared. Take a look at the website for more detailed explanations.

There is all the possibility of a pregnancy, so go ahead and form a test; a slight bleeding is normal, but take appropriate rest a nd good care of yourself
