No, and saying it's "god's plan" or anything of the like is BS, even in the Bible the men had multiple wives. Monogamy is a constraint that the human race has put onto itself in order to make it feel like it is superior to other races on the planet.

No we are not made to be that way. It is society who has dictated that we live monogamous. I think that genetically we are not meant to be that way. I think that is why most people still have attractions to others. We also have the will power to say no that we will not be with that other person but the physical attraction is there for a man to want to spread his seed and a woman to want to produce new life to keep the human race going strong.

I don't know. I'm married and I love my husband and would NEVER cheat on him. But to be honest though, I get tempted by guys at work sometimes. It's hard not to spend 8 hours a day with someone and share work ideas and have them so close to you and not get tempted. Even though you know it's wrong, the mind still wonders..."what if" But I think it's really important to be totally honest with your partner and keep the fires burning at home. And let others know that you have no intention of straying from your relationship. So temptation doesn't lead to disaster.

Speaking from a biological perspective only, perhaps females are, but it's doubtful that males are meant to be monogamous.

Well we certainly behave that way.

Step back look at the world, the average person gets married, has children, and stays married. Yes there may be blips but in the long run we humans stick with one mate.
