You kids with your new fangled game thingies in your homes.

Back in my day we had to walk 8 miles in the freezing snow, barefoot, with pockets full of stolen quarters to a place called the Arcade...just to play a game that lasted all of 2 minutes...before it was game over, insert another quarter. Pffft...you lazy damn kids.

Oh...right, answer the question...a PS2...reason? Microsoft has enough of my money.

XBox every time. It is true that the PS2 has more games available but the majority of the are dreadful. There is only a limited number of quality games on the market and they are spread evenly between the two or available on both. Technically the Xbox blows the PS2 away. When a game is available on both formats the XBox version is slicker, smoother and saves onto an internal hard drive. I had both for a long time but gave the PS2 away as it was simply inadequate in comparison. The real question of course is will the PS3 be any better than the XBox360? That I wait to see.

All Ps2 gamers on top shut the hell up PS2 sucks. X-box has Halo series and I have an x-box and the 360. My friend ones a Ps2 and he says X-box is way better. Did you know that halo 1 and 2 has maid more money than Sony has in the video buiness. And also X-box was more maid for adults than kids and your yahoo 360 picture is an a adult.

Depends on how old you are too!

(Everyone else has said about all the good reasons so I'm going a different route)

The X-Box is geared toward older kids and younger adults. It does have some very unique games that once you are dragged into them, it's hard to let go.

But PS2 is geared toward everyone. It has games for the younger kids (Nickleodian games.....Disney games). It has games for pre-teens, the college crowd and even us adults that get so addicted to this stuff! There is such a huge, wide variety of games from sports, to adventure, to simulations, to reality games that inevitably there is something for everyone.

So what makes a game system best? When it appeals to a wide market. PS2 does this. X-box is great! (don't get me wrong) But it is limited and therefore not your best buy.

And since you are a kid.....I say go with the PS2. *wink*

Look PS2 sucks, it has been out for how many years now? Oh yea just enough where they can fix the bug's but have they no, the first PS2 would always get dirty inside so it wouldn't work, and the thin over heats to fast. X-BOX, it may not have as many games but it's games are 10x better Halo 1 and 2. The thing is like a tank, my dad got pissed at me for playing it to much so he grabbed it and threw it across my room and hit my oak dresser all that happened was that it got a scratch, it is easier to use chips or disks to let you use burned games. Now PS3 I would get that, first gaming console with cell technology, CELL TECHNOLOGY!!!! If you thought that 360 had good graphics just wait.

PS2 I have had a PS2 since it came out and I am on my third one now. That original fat joypad for the xbox totally sucks as$. Game content is more important than graphics. Bring back Pong that game can keep me playing for hours! The graphics in Pong are better than the game content in some of them xbox games. Plus that greedy Bill Gates has enough cash he aint having any more of mine. Sony are naturals at making consoles. Ok PS2's dont last forever like the old ataris do but the xbox doesn't last forever either.

X-Box. Here's why.

1 - Its faster than a PS2
2 - it has better graphics
3 - Better controller
4 - You can hook up a modded x-box to your PC and use it to stream media files
5 - You can install PS1, N64, NES, SNES, Genesis, Atari, C64, MAME and so many other emulators and play!
6 - You can customize dashboards
7 - IT HAS XBMC!!!
8 - You can run Linux on it. Droooll...
9 - It has most of the games the PS2 has. and ofcourse some exclusives.
10 - IT HAS NINJA GAIDEN!!!

That should convince most non-believers!
