I have the funniest story...
We watched The Ring when it came out on video.. I was at my mother's house, and it was me, mom, dad, my 13 year old sister. We finished watching it.. and left the credits running to go get something to eat.. it was midnight.. WELL.. me and mom decided to try and scare my sister.. ( pretty corny but we're all about the corny) so , I went outside to 'have a smoke' and used my cell phone which shows up unknown on the caller ID to call.. I called and she answered so I said " You have 7 days"
I could hear her scream and crying from outside.. mom came out to tell me that just as the phone rang.. the credits were done and the flashing 'ring' showed up on the screen.. it made it even more scary for her.. she was freaked right out.

DO NOT fall asleep with a video running because when the tape ends and the "snow" comes on screen I guarantee that Sadako will jump out of the telly and into your mind. Seriously this happens to me all the time! Say, I hope you liked the film and I'm not just making light of something serious most people DO like to get creeped out!
EDIT: I just remembered when I bought Ring 0 on video the girl in the shop told me that she watched The Ring for the first time on video it was with a friend who had seen it before. The friend pretended to go to the toilet so that she could limp in at just the right (or is that wrong?) moment with a long white dress on and her long hair over her face! The girl at the counter said she's never screamed so much in her life! What a trick! Thought you might like the story- imagine how much more scary she must find it than us!

I saw ringu and not the ring, but the ring is a scene to scene remake of ringu the japanese film and that was creepy enough. That girl would scare the bark off a tree!

Only time I think of it is when that fuzz comes on the telly and then I think if it stays on long enough she will come out and get me. The American version was crap but the original Chinese or Japenese (can't remember) one is enough to make anyone poop their panties as they really go for it in that film.

I look kind of like her. (Pale skin, long dark hair) So I see her pretty much every time I look in the mirror when my hair isn't in a ponytail.
