I'm Mexican, but I have an "American" credit card. Three years ago, I got a letter telling the bank is now owned by England, but that my service would remain the same. Recently, my bank Banorte, bought Inter National Bank, so I can now transfer money online from Mexico to the bank in Texas FREE because my bank owns it. I've had money on Texas State Bank for years, just a few months ago, I found out Bancomer now owns Texas State Bank. I don't have an account on Bancomer, but I hear people in Mexico will soon be able to tranfer money also on that bank. I hear that the USA is now borrowing money from China. Most people in the border, in my city Reynosa, had always had their money on Texas State Bank, but now most people in Mexico are recommeding now to invest in euros, not dollars. So right now I'm working on opening an account in Europe. Considering what I'm seeing, seems like the wise thing to do but,

What's wrong with the American economy??????????

Our flim flam men politicians have made everything FUBAR!

The Flim Flam Men :

They make speeches about they must have taxes, and every politician knows what is being done in Alaska. Alaska Pays all their residents with earth rights and doesn’t tax their residents. This makes the politicians liars!

They make speeches to get elected and make promises about what they will do for us. They say nothing about getting every dime of lobby money to do what big biz wants that’s opposite what they promised you they would do. That makes them cheats!

They stole your grandmother’s retirement money from SS. Now you face getting nothing for your SS payments. That makes them thieves!

They tax us, but they know the foreign companies pay no taxes on the goods they sell here. The goods are sold then bought on paper in a foreign port to skate the tax laws. Thus eliminating their profit on paper to cheat the US out of the taxes they owe. This makes them backstabbers!

They take lobby money to put earmarks and pork in every law that passes their desk. Then they do photo ops, a news clips to promote themselves as doing something good for us and America. So they corkscrew us!

They make back room deals and give our tax money to foreigners who build factories with our money. Then they write laws that send our jobs overseas. This makes them dirty dealers!

So lets total all this up. They lie, cheat, steal, backstab, corkscrew, and dirty deal. HELL their Flim Flam Men! Just like in the George C. Scott movie “ The Flim Flam Man”!
They are called the “ Honorable” Senator or Representative. Hell Flim Flam Men have NO honor what so ever! They’re crooks, criminals for God’s sake!

The BBC has film of ALL of them going in and out of Abramoff’s restaurant. That’s THE place in DC to get loaded with lobby money. The BBC has been running this story, and trying to get the US media to run it too. The US media refuses to run the story.

Everyone is MAH and they are going to pay for their mismanagement and abysmally poor judgement!

The American economic myth is based on the lie that everyone can get more of the pie by making the pie bigger. This myth is well understood by the rich and because it cannot expand forever is why they are consolidating their position before everything colapses at the expense of everyone else. They will end up living in gated armed fortresses eventually to protect themselves from the starving masses. You can bet they will not have their assets in currency at all. and by the time they are done, the United States will have to change it's name to Squatamala.

The ecoomy is stronger than it has been for decades. International businesses are flocking the the US for some reason..Just as they are doing in other countries.. Is a time for growth.

Unfortunately, to the dismay of one of the entrants in here, the president has no say in any of these transactions. Is a sad state of affairs when there are so many uninformed people espousing such hatred and really have no rationale or fact, concerning what they are talking about. Allowing emotions to over-ride common sense.

Trickle down economics has always proven to do exactly the opposite of what it is purported to do. The middle class are the ones who spend the money to keep the economy rolling. The rich squirrel the money away, often in off shore banks and take it out of circulation.

You better have your savings in Chinese Yuan, it can only move up. The American economy is still okay within the next 10 years, after that it will go down the drain. Beware !!!

Lots of things are wrong with the American economy. It is supposed to be a free market economy but of late it is fraught with protectionism in many ways. America is supposed to be promoting free world trade under WTO but here again we have seen tariffs being imposed on some goods. America expects other countries to open their markets for American products but it does not want others to export freely their products to America. America wants other countries to allow American investments without any restrictions but America does not want other countries to invest in America - for example many lucrative Chinese investments have been barred on grounds of silly security arguments. Each American is debtor to other countries to the tune of US$30000 and this will keep on increasing in the years to come, especially with billions of dollars wasted in fighting unjust wars in other lands. Yes, China has been placing most of its foreign reserves in America in the form of investments in the treasury notes but in view of recent restrictions on Chinese investments in some sectors of the American economy, the Chinese government is seriously considering diverting their investments in USA to other countries and other currencies. This trend will spread to individuals and so your desire to put your money in Euro does not come as a surprise!

You simply do not understand market economies - try taking an intro course at the local community college.

George Bush. He cares more about helping his big business buddies conquer the world than governing how they operate.
