How many pounds in a "stone"?

What is a "wheatish" complexion?

Thanks!!

There are 14 pounds in 1 stone. Say you weighed 135 pounds. You would be 9.6 stones.

Wheatish is a term that is very popular with the Desis. As they like to keep fair in India they came up with a softer term for darker complexions and that is "wheatish". Think of the color of whole wheat breads.

a stone is around 14 lbs.
if you see the scales in Britiain, pretty much all of them go up in stone. they also have kgs on them...we're wierd over here!
a wheatish completion....think of the colour of wheat. although a lot of us don't use that term too often.
hope that helped!
