so I stopped by last night when it was just the two of them there, I was having a hard night with the kids fighting and neede some peace. I have never stopped bye to say hello in the past, and since they were not there on the clock, I thought it would be okay.
Was i wrong to stop bye? Is it wrong to leave the house with children after 8:00 at night and do this?
I am asking because my husband told me I am a horrible mother to do this, but my kids enjoy a night drive every day before bed time, and so do I because I am in the house all day.

i stopped by the job, not the boss's house. they told me to come in, and even offered to feed us.

Maybe your husband has some jealousy issues with his boss asking you to stop by. The fact that you did stop by only after the boss offered, may have your husband thinking. There is nothing wrong with what you did. I take my kids out (under 5) after 8 pm. Just wondering why you never stopped by his work before? Interesting :P !!! Especially interesting if you made yourself look decent before you went there.

As a mom, i say go for it, take them for a drive and this time together out of the house can be very beneficial for all of you, as for the boss house thing, don't do that again. Mixing personal and business can come back and bite you and ur hubby in the butt.
You can also start a play group for other stay home moms in ur area so that you can go to other peoples houses w/ the kids and lets you have adult conversations!!

Taking a drive with the kids at night is very cool. Stopping by his boss's house is not. Unless your looking for more than a drive at night.

Depends on how old your kids are. When I watch after kids, they are in bed by 8 if they are under the age of 5. But I see where you are coming from, children wind down after a car drive. Plus they probably wanted to see Daddy, right?

I think its OK. You got your life to enjoy. If you do so towards the end of the day, after finishing most of the chores, I think you are doing just fine. Make your husband understand that you have a life too. Way to go girl !

Jenni u are a nica mom , every kid loves to get some time out.
take thm today aslo if u can , ur hubby is angry coz he thinks thats u have gone to ur boss house and ur boss can take advantage of urs, just take ur kids to some cafeteria, some park, kids zone ,, some movie and stuff like that.
I bet u they will respect u and obey u more, try it it works and then do tell me what hapened.

Maybe its time you go to some counseling so you can be guided on time management and learn better communication. Yes, we do need to have time outs but leaving children home unattended is a big no-no...
