Myspace would be ok, if you respect yourself enough to keep your profile private. Make sure you invite ONLY your friends and not strangers. Keep your screen name to a tag only, and don't post pictures. My son promised me he wouldn't use his myspace after we caught him on it. He immediately created a new user - posted his face and his full name. Not realizing how dangerous that was. When I found it the second time months later I was VERY upset. We have one of those names that aren't like Smith, so when he posted it, it wouldn't be very hard for some creep to look us up in the phone book- find out where we live and follow my son since he'd have a picture of him to go with the name. he'd also know what school he goes to , because he also posted that. I showed my son, that there were over 9 million people in his network and already almost 500 people had viewed his profile. So while you may think myspace is great, you still need to be careful with what information you choose to reveal. Everything you post is like a little map from myspace to your front door, all they need is the key.

Myspace is great! Just as there are good and bad people in the world, there are good and bad people on myspace. Myspace is just an alternate universe. It is a GREAT tool for communication and friends. I meet the love of my life on myspace.

Same thing that's bad about a playground or video arcade. Places that attract young people attract predators. I am shocked at the amount of personal information kids will post or include in silly surveys they pass around. Last names, names of schools, names of friends, favorite hangouts are information that will help an online predator locate a kid in person.Kids think when they respond to surveys they are just communicating with their friends and don't realize that literally anyone has access to their information. There's nothing any worse about MYSpace than any place else on the internet but kids need to learn how to be safe there.

It's fun to use, but I think it's too commercialized. As soon as News Corp bought MySpace, it has had different intentions other than innovation and future developments. You see more advertisments, more fake people messaging you to see their site for advertisment purposes, and countless number of websites that take advantage of novice computer users by offering simple html codes at the same time installing background adware and bots. But as always, with the good, you have to take the bad.

MySpace is a great way for people to be fake and network with other people that are being fake. One thing I have found it useful for is tracking down long lost friends and such.

theres nothing bad about using myspace. but it is pathetic. people use it as a means to escape the reality that is their worthless pathetic unfulfilling life by belieiving that they truly have as many "friends" that are on their list. instead of wasting all your time "customizing" your homepage, you could be out doing something productive, like interacting and meeting with real friends that you dont have to download a picture of just to see how they look

MySpace is not bad. It is a very good site to keep in touch with people and see what they are up to. People are sometimes morons and create problems on there.

myspace can be bad for children and teens. it allows them to post personal information and puts them in danger of coming in contact with sexual predators.
