The roles will be reversed! The popular kids fame only extends to the time they are in school. They have lived in a fairy tale existence that won't carry them over into the real world. Their world is shallow and unreal anyways.
The geeks, on the other hand, already know what they are up against and what life has handed them and will make the most of it and be prepared to take on life's challenges as they come when them move on into the real world. These geeks will be the successful ones and the "popular" crowd will be working for them!

2 years ago I went to my schools 15th reunion. Oh my, The so called geeks turned into hunky looking men and the good looking guys turned into grease monkeys and bums. Some geeks where still geeks and rich as, others were making ends meet. the popular girls all ended up with half a dozen kids and had part time jobs, All the other girls had families and great life styles. Me I was one of the others.
Big difference when looking back I thought the popular girls would have everything but I ended up with having it all.

The geeks will be the most sucessful people after highschool, when the popular people either are out of work, only just passing or maybe working for the geeks. The popular ones mainly care about there reputation so most probably trying to get by with their reputation.

It depends on what they're into and if it's compatable with their skills. In high school and beyond, I've found that popular people are usually more socially adpet while geeks are better versed in specialized interests. If popular people get involved in something that rewards their social skills, they'll be happy and successful. And if geeks continue to acquire skills and connections in their areas of interest they'll be okay.
But I think the reality is that most people never really find their ideal niche in life. In most cases, we just settle and try to survive. If you go to your high school reunion, you'll probably find the geeks to be sucessful in their careers but still unhappy with their social lives or lonely. The popular kids will probably still be popular, but they'll probably have a bunch of accident children that they work crummy jobs to provide for.
Whichever you are, just try not to fall into the trap. Recognize your weaknesses, develop your strengths and claim your life.

It's hard to say. A lot of people in high school are putting on a mask so it's not really them anyway. I know some "popular kids" who are secretly aspiring to become computer programmers, I know some "geeks" who want to go into modeling.

From my high school the geeks are mostly university graduates but without jobs and slacking around.
The popular kids usually have non-technical degrees like business admin or psychology but because they are supposingly the elite in society, which means they're parents are elite also, they have more job oppurtunities due to their connections.
But no fear this crap only happens in my country Malaysia => Where it's not what you know it's who you know!

I assume you want the standard "geeks rule the world while jocks bag groceries" answer.
In reality, there will be an equal mix of success between both high school stereotypes, since most of those stereotypes vanish through the course of college.
