The entire Bush junta should be impeached and imprisoned for crimes against The Constitution and the people of the United States, for starters.

You mean IF the Dems retake the house? No. Cheney has not committed any crime in office, or done anything that could even be remotely construed as treason, neither has Bush, and you know it.

The one who should have been tried for treason is Al Gore. He writes and passes a law through Congress in 1995 that makes it illegal to sell US military items to rogue nations that are clear enemies of the United States. Then in 1997, he turns around and does what? Brokers a deal and sells our triggerin devices to Pakistan, who turned around and sold them to Iran, who supplied them to terrorists, who attacked us in various and sundried ways all across the world, including two Embassies in Africa, the USS Cole in Yemen, and a host of other events. Well established, and well before 9/11.

Oh, if they had only done something other than nothing, 9/11 never would have happened, and they both should be tried for treason for that alone!

Clinton got tried for lying about adultery, Bush has broken so many laws (and is open about it and proud of it) that one wonders if the other two branches of government are still open for business. The whole administration is crooked, there is so much information out there, yet people just look the other way. We're not even looking for bin Laden anymore, the whole thing was about Iraq from the very beginning. That professor who was suspended because he said that he thought that the Bush administration was behind 9/11...I would have to say I agree with him. Since 9/11, Bush and his buddies have had free rein to do whatever they want, and no one is saying boo about it. They are cleaning up bigtime, and until the other two branches of government are out from GOP control will anything be done about it. Democrats raising taxes? Bush has cut taxes for the wealthiest, where do you think that money is coming from? You are already getting taxed more at the local level to make up for the shortfall. Look at your school and property taxes. Look at the gas taxes, the new phone taxes, the higher sales taxes. It is called "trickle-down" economics for a reason! Give the wealthiest the tax breaks, and the responsibility for paying for it trickles down to the rest of us! How can people be so blind as not to see the situation as it really is? We are getting screwed, there had better be a backlash before we fall off the face of the Earth altogether. I love this country too much to want to see it get torn apart more than it already is!!!!

Not that the Democrats are any better these days...makes me sad to see corruption on scale with the Roman Empire before it fell.

The House of Representatives can not try someone for treason. The can impeach but not indict. Doesnt matter, because even if they gain a majority, they can t get the 2/3 required to win an impeachment, so it would be a waste of time.

Oh wise and educated and delusional david c - first your premise that the democrats will win the mid terms is very humorous - but oh wise and wonderous david c - could you list for me some actual charges, some actual facts based upon American constitutional law that our Vice-President could be charged with? Come on david c, how about some specific, concrete, fact filled stuff from that very intelligent mind of yours, the one that has received all the diplomas - are you capable of independent thoughts and ideas?

Oh david c, this liberalism thing must be so tiring for you - day after day after day of taking empty swipes at our President, at your favorite news outlet Fox News, at conservatives - all because liberalism is barren of any redeeming, or refreshing or challenging ideas - david c, can't you see that liberalism has nothing to offer...

that's right, I forgot for a second, david c is a liberal, and delusional people have no limits on their delusions...

They should have investigations on these elected officials that have show to be less then credible in their profession. If it leads to Jail or Impeachment trials, so be it. The investigations are whats important right now. We need accountable in our government. I didn't have a problem with them trying to Impeach Clinton what was important was the accountability for his actions. He proved that the charges were not Worthy of being Impeached, good for him, but Bush and company need to have their feet to fire as well, because I am sure they have don't stuff worse then a blow J*b

Well said gadjitfreek

If they have some really compelling evidence, sure. If it's just some tenous politically-motivated argument, no. The Republicans tried that against Clinton, and it didn't work out too well.
