I always get plenty of sleep. I eat well and take care of my skin. So what could be the cause of the bags beneath my eyes? They're NOT dark circles like you see when people don't get enough sleep. They just always look swollen.
If it's genetics, is there any way to get rid of them or help reduce their appearance?
Im totally happy with my face and the rest of my body but I can't stand my "baggy" eyes :(

Any tips or suggestions are truely appreciated. Thanks!

I am exactly the same way. A lot of it is just the bone structure in your face. People with high cheekbones are very prone to these just because of the way the skin drapes over the bones. If you look at photos of Native Americans, you'll see they were very prevalent. I can also tell you that no one really notices as much as you do :)

Short of plastic surgery, nothing is going to make them go away (don't even know how well surgery would work). You can try Preparation H or cold, moist chamomile tea bags to reduce the puffiness a little. I really like Clinique Repairwear Intensive Eye Cream also, it's worked well for me and I don't sell it ;) Arbonne's cream has actually gotten some pretty negative reviews because it has some irritating plant ingredients in it, and did not work at all for me.

Good luck!

Yes, genetics can play a part in it, as well as diet. There are some things you can do that will help. I am a fan of treating things topically and internally. Here is what I've had success with;
1. L'OREAL eye cream. I've tried others, including Arbonne, and none have given me the results this one does.
2. Increase your daily water intake to wash toxins through your body so they don't build up and "puff" up areas on your body.
3. Reduce your daily sodium and caffeine intake.

FYI...I've never had any luck with "compresses", either cold or herbal. Good luck!

There are many different reasons......Thyroid problems
People suffering from a thyroid problem (also referred to as a goiter) normally have very baggy eyes - if you have any qualms about your thyroid not functioning effectively, or if you have any symptoms of an over - or under active thyroid please consult your doctor immediately. Also Aging and nutrition:
As we age the fragile skin around our eyes start to lose its elasticity, and here we can look at nutrition to assist us in our fight against aging, as poor nutrition contribute to aging as well.
Although a product like Arbonne's NutriMinC RE9 Eye creme will assist in re-vitalizing the collagen and elastin in the skin around the eyes, you do need vitamin C in your system in order for collagen to be formed. I also use their dietary supplement NutriMinC RE 9 REsist Essential Fatty Acid Supplement which is so very helpful because you will be treating yourself from the inside out as you are fro the outside. To assist in collagen formation and re-vitalizing your fragile skin around the eyes - please consider taking this supplement with ascorbic acid, among other natural ingredients. this is why I use and love Arbonne's NutriMinC® RE9 anti aging line, (i buy it online at: http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com ... under shop online) you will enjoy immediate visibly firming and moisturizing benefits. This formula moisturizes the delicate skin around the eyes and reduces the appearance of dark circles and puffiness, write them and you could receive their samples, anyway the best thing is that they are formulatted with botanical principles and formulatted without mineral oil, animal prooducts or fragrances which all these ingredients are very harmfull for our skin.. Mineral oil is the 2nd worse thing we could do to our skins health for it is like rubbing car oil on our skin and exposing ourselfes to the sun, animal products come from dead animals and these come from rendering plants these plants pick all dead animal and dead animal parts (from meat houses, etc.) and they put it in a huge pot, squash everything and boils it, what ever comes to the top is the oil other companies use to elaborate thier products, gross I know...the lipstick... ewww anyway, that is why i use botanically based products which is way much better because they get absorbed and the nutrients inside the products is what helps our skin look and feel healthy...they are not sold in stores but it is a great way to buy becasue they have this money back guarantee if for some reason there is something you do not like from the products you get your money back guarantee (within 45 days from purchase) so you have nothing to loose, only the bags underneath your eyes;).... I know the info is too much but hope this is helpfull!!!
